Can someone help me find a cheap place for my ex, who has terminal cancer, to rent?

He is 49 yrs old, and was a Union Roofer before he got diagnosed with llarynx cancer about 6 months ago. He is now on DSHS for medical help, but the 8 plex he was living in burnt down! No kidding. He’s in a world of hurt, and had to give his only salvation away – his cat. He still needs surgery to remove his lymph nodes, after having radiation and chemo. He gets disability, but it’s veeerrry little. Please help..Tacoma Wa.

given that the place he lived burnt down, then he should start with the Red Cross… they should be able to help hook him up with a Social Worker who can help him find whatever housing is available to him. In the meantime, he might want to find a homeless shelter just so he has a place to go while working thru all of this.
